Energy Tax Credit

Andersen windows and patio doors with High-Performance™ Low-E4™ glass can reduce energy bills by 25% in the summer and 10% in the winter*.  Better yet, if you buy them now, most will qualify for a credit of up to $500 on your federal income tax**.  If that isn't beautiful, we don't know what is.

How to qualify for the Tax Credit:**

1. Purchase a qualifying Andersen window or door with Low-E or High-Performance™ Low-E4™ glass.**

    Browse Product Catalog

2. Save your purchase record and window or door performance label with your tax documents.

3. Install after December 31, 2005 and before January 1, 2008.

4. Claim the tax credit within the current year associated with your purchase and installation.

Details:

1. Tax credit is for the cost of the product only- does not include installation costs.

2. Tax credit is 10% of the amount paid up to the maximums listed.

3. $500 total maximum tax credit for any and all improvements.

4. $200 total maximum tax credit for qualifying windows and skylights.

5. $500 total maximum tax credit for doors if windows or skylights are not used.

*Based on a study of two identical homes comparing Low-E glass to dual-pane insulating glass.  Actual savings may vary by geographic region.

**Most Andersen windows and doorrs with High-Performance Low-E4 glass will qualify when used for remodeling, replacement or home improvement.  Please consult your tax planner and review all IRS guidelines.  Andersen Windows is not a tax advisor.

The above information is a summary of the Federal Tax Credit based on IRS interim guidance in Notice 2006-26.  While tax credits are available to contractors for new construction (details can be found by copying and pasting the following address into your Web browser address windows: www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=154658,00.h tml ), this information is for Existing Home Tax Credit for Fenestration (windows, doors and skylights) products only.  Other energy efficient improvements may apply; check the IRS link for more details (http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=1546 57,00.html ). Andersen bears no responsibility in the validation of obtaining the tax credit.  Please consult with a professional tax advisor or the IRS.
