Alpen Fiberglass Windows
Alpen Glass
In its high-performance fiberglass windows, Alpen Energy Group uses a combination of suspended low-emissivity (low-e) Heat Mirror films, low-e coatings directly deposited on the glass, low-iron glass (which increases visible light transmittance), low-conductivity gas fill (including krypton and xenon), pultruded fiberglass frames insulated with vacuum silica aerogel packets, and low-conductivity glazing spacers.
These 1-3/8"-thick custom windows are available with a wide range of properties to meet different needs. Their highest performing windows have three suspended films (each with low-e coatings on both sides) and provide up to an R-20 center-of-glass insulating value (unit R-value of 10, U-factor 0.10)—the highest performance of any window in the world. The majority of the company’s products are used in projects in which different glazings are used for different wall orientations.
